Joseph Staffetti, Founder & Director
"I have a Bachelor’s of Science from the University of South Florida, where I majored in Biomedical Sciences. I currently work as a researcher in the department of Neurology at the University of South Florida where I specialize in movement disorders and essential tremors. My goal for this organization is to provide the Haitian people with the resources they need in order to achieve a healthy life. No one person can solve the problem of poor medical care by themselves, but collectively, improvements can be made to help Haitian people in need receive adequate resources. This organization was created to make it easier for pharmaceutical companies to donate medications for Haitian people in need." |

Francesca Staffetti, President
"I am a senior at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. As a Political Science major on the pre-law track, I work with my brother on the technical, legal, and organizational aspects of HMR. We have a passion for helping others, and HMR enables both of us to utilize our specific skills to best achieve our goal. As Americans, we are no more than a few miles away from a pharmacy at any given moment. While we're incredibly fortunate to have secure access to these resources, it's important that we not lose sight of our obligation to help those who lack such access. Sharing our abundance of medications with those who desperately need it offers direct help to the Haitian people, while accepting donations from pharmacies, pharmaceutical representatives, and medical centers allows others to be a part of the process." |
